Award-Winning Products and Dream Builds at SEMA 2024
Many know SEMA as one of the most iconic shows in the automotive industry, and it backed up its reputation in 2024 with a record attendance of over 160,000 passionate folks navigating the massive square footage to see and visit with over 2,400 exhibitors.
Race Winning Brands and its iconic performance brands are legacy SEMA attendees and were proud to have the opportunity to not only attend the show again this year, but to bring some of its most innovative products and engaging partnerships forward.
One of the most memorable takeaways from SEMA 2024 was JE Pistons being awarded Best New Performance-Racing Product of 2025 for its Dual Velocity Gas Ports by SEMA’s panel of judges. This new and innovative piston feature may seem simple in nature, but the research, development, and testing that went into them is a true testament to RWB’s industry leading vision.
Opposite the RWB booth from JE Pistons sat a vehicle that saw a constant flow of phone camera lenses and intrigued viewers. It was ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett’s ‘MADMAC’ McLaren, but we use the name McLaren here loosely. This car started out as a Lanzante road racing creation meshing a McLaren P1 GTR and GT3 650S that Mad Mike then started chopping up to create a drifting machine no one could have imagined. The end result is this 20B 3-rotor-powered creation pushing 1,000+WHP, spitting flames, and roasting tires. Since a rotary wasn’t a natural fit in the McLaren (shocking), Mad Mike turned to Haltech to create an entire engine management and power distribution ecosystem powering the entire car. This system includes a Nexus R5, PD16 PDM, iC-7 digital dash, and quite a few more Haltech components to put the power to the wheels and the control in Mike’s hands.
Right in the center of the booth was an engine block that’s created quite a buzz throughout the last couple tradeshow seasons. You guessed it, it was Dart Machinery’s Iron Eagle 2JZ. But, it wasn’t just a bare block on display this time, it was a prime example of one of Dart’s latest short block offerings. Dart is now offering complete short blocks prepped and built in-house with a variety of specs and components to choose from, creating an even more turnkey 2JZ racing package option.
The Dart Iron Eagle 2JZ short block on display at SEMA featured a Dart billet 2JZ crankshaft, BoostLine connecting rods, and Diamond Rebel Series forged pistons for the rotating assembly. This package is one of several ready to handle major boost and four-digit horsepower numbers.
What Else was on Display at SEMA 2024?
The RWB team is full of avid horsepower enthusiasts, and Brian Jackson, CHRO, is no exception. His 1968 Chevelle was on display at SEMA proudly boasting an LSX under the hood fitted with a custom CORSA intake and exhaust system and controlled by a Haltech Rebel LS engine management system.
BoostLine’s expanded line of boost-ready connecting rods were highlighted, showing off a redesigned version of its domestic applications increasing strength by up to 40% over the previous design without gaining any weight.
Dart had more than just a 2JZ to show. The long-awaited Gen 3 Hemi Iron Eagle was there for builder and enthusiast inspection. These blocks are in full production and shipping now!
CORSA Performance was heard at SEMA, too, showing customers its new carbon fiber Mustang intake system, Ford Mustang Darkhorse exhaust system, and more.
Wiseco Performance Products had its full range of automotive forged pistons displayed, including the still-expanding RED series pistons, offering a perfect balance of high-performance capability and value.
Manley Performance, Volant, and Diamond Pistons rounded out RWB’s high-power display at SEMA 2024. Expect more new products, more horsepower, and the same unwavering passion at PRI!
